STARS OVER GEORGIA SUMMER SOFTBALL SHOWCASE

Payment was due on June 18, 2024. On June 19th, a $50 late fee was applied.
Payment deadline was June 18th. All teams who have not paid in full are subject to being dropped from the event to accommodate our waiting list of teams. Payment can be made with Venmo or through the USSSA website.
Gate Fees
In lieu of ticket sales to each patron at the event, each team is responsible for a one-time gate fee payment which will include unlimited fan entry to the showcase. The team coach or representative is responsible for payment.
Payment of $425 can be made via Venmo @dceliteproductions by June 24th, 2024.
After June 24th, 2024, $425 may be paid in cash upon check-in to the event at the coach's check-in area prior to the team's first game. If you are making a Venmo payment, the payment amount is $475.

Showcase Cancellation & Refund Policy
June 10th, 2024-until June 27th, 2024 -Receive a non-transferrable one- year credit (for the amount paid) to any DC Elite Productions event or may choose a refund of $200.
Cancel on or after June 27th, 2024- NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS regardless of reason.
Camp Refund Policy
No refunds less than 30 days prior to the camp. However, a camp credit may be applied to a future camp of the same or less value. You must pay the difference if the camp is of higher value. (Camp credit expires 1 year after the purchase date.) In the event that Camp Insurance was purchased, a claim can be filed for qualifying reasons. Please see your receipt for more information, as DC Elite Productions does not make insurance claim determinations.
Housing
Stars Over Georgia is a mandated Stay, Play & Save event! All teams traveling more than 80 + miles are required to book a minimum of 7 rooms per team. Any team not meeting the mandated Stay Play and Save requirement by June 19, 2024 will be at risk of not being scheduled to play and being dropped from the event. Rules

Pool games: 14U/16U/18U 80 min finish the batter.

Bracket games will be 7 innings, or 80 min finish the inning.

ITB in bracket if the game is tied at the end of 7 innings or 80 min.

Free defensive substitutions throughout pool play.

You may bat your entire roster. The integrity of the line-up must remain throughout the game.

Pool play: Courtesy run for pitcher/catcher only.

Bracket play: Courtesy run for pitcher/catcher only, Sub must be used. If no sub then the last completed at-bat.

All bats must follow USSSA guidelines and have USSSA thumbprint. The penalty for stepping in the batter's box with an illegal bat is that both the player & head coach are ejected from the game.

Run rules: 12 after 3, 10 after 4, and 8 after 5.

Walks and HBP: Any batter that walks or is HBP has the option of staying in the box and assuming a 3-2 count. If opting to stay, the batter must take the result of the at bat.

Absolutely NO protest in pool play, only bracket. The protest fee is $125 in bracket. The fee will be returned if the protest is upheld.

A coin flip will be held before the game to determine the home team. The home team will designate the official scorekeeper.

All teams must have their roster uploaded to their USSSA team page. If a team DOES NOT and a team protests in the bracket play, the team will have to forfeit the game. If the tournament director deems the player is eligible but the error is of a clerical nature the protest will not result in a forfeit and the protest fee will be returned.

No players, parents, or spectators will be allowed in the "College Coaches Only” designated areas. This includes the hospitality area (Administration Building) and the umpires' tent/area.
Game Times
Pool games begin on Friday, July 12th 2024 at 8:00 a.m. for 14U/16U/18U. All teams must be available to play at this time on day 1.
July 5th 2024 Blind Draw
All teams who have paid in full will be included in the blind bracket draw.
Recruiting Manual Information Due July 6th 2024
For each athlete’s optimal chance to be recruited, please fill out your player's profile sheets by the deadline date at the link below. This information is emailed ahead of time as well as given to all the college coaches upon their arrival. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOLLOWING THE DEADLINE.
Camp

Game Balls
Game balls will be provided by the tournament director. THREE (3) game balls are to be turned into the umpires on each field following the completion of each game.
Teams are expected to have their players retrieve foul balls and return them to the umpires at the field they are playing on during each game. This will keep the flow of the game moving and ensure everyone is playing with a quality game ball.
Weather
Updates regarding the weather will be communicated with the USSSA email/texting system. We may also use social media and/or a dedicated weather line.
Weather Contingencies of uncontrollable circumstances or interruptions due to weather, the tournament director/DCEP ownership reserves the right to alter the tournament format in any way necessary to reach its conclusion. This can include, but may not be limited to, shortened game times, fewer games guaranteed, or playing rule changes. Games interrupted might not be resumed. Everything possible will be done to get the players on the field as soon as possible. It is ultimately the responsibility of the team managers and coaches to verify their schedule daily to make sure that no changes have been made. Refunds will be at the discretion of the DCEP ownership.
Weather Protocols: To be determined by each individual park. Lightening strikes/ inclement weather/safety threats are at the discretion of each park, TD/UIC, and athletic trainer. We will work together to make the best decision for all. We will communicate via USSSA and/or on our Facebook page. (DC ELITE PRODUCTIONS)
Refunds Due to Weather: Two (2) or less games played during the ENTIRE event, receive 15% of the registration fee only (gate fee not included) to be paid within 30 days after the event ends. All policies are subject to change without notification.
Inclement Weather/Camp Cancellation: In the event that the camp is canceled, a one-year credit will be applied. If the camp has begun and has to be canceled early due to weather, no refunds will be given. All policies are subject to change without notification.
Medical Information
Certified athletic trainers and/or medical personnel trained in CPR/first aid will be available at all locations at varied times for minor medical injuries. Please notify our staff or someone to radio appropriate personnel. For all serious injuries out of our scope, 911 will be called at the discretion of DCEP staff.
Health
We will be adhering to safe practices as per state mandates. We ask that you adhere to these standards and safety as well for the health and well-being of all.
Sportsmanship/Security
Team managers, coaches, players, and spectators are responsible for their own conduct. Any abusive language or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. DC Elite Productions reserves the right to eject anyone present from the event at any time if necessary. Team managers and coaches will be held responsible for any unsportsmanlike conduct by a player, parent, or fan.
